The snail slowly draws

Long winding silver ribbons

On the green carpet

Pilak na laso

Ginuguhit sa damo

Ng susong pintor

Like a captive soul

Escaping from dark dungeon:

Sun rose in splendor

Kumawala na

Sa kulimlim na rehas

Ang haring araw

Under the moonlight

One by one the petals fall;

She’s plucking a rose

Sa sinag ng buwan

Ang sumisintang dilag

Hawak ay rosas

The sky is so bright

White clouds were crossing gaily---

They’d just been set free

Sa puting langit

Gumagapang ang ulap

Nang buong laya

Earth is painted black

The sky is adorned with stars---

Mysterious twilight

Mundong kay dilim

Bitui’y dumarating---

Takipsilim na!
