‘Kutsilyo’ made from a bright brass
‘Garab’ is a tool for harvesting rice
‘Sundang’ is the best device to slice
But bless the sword ‘bolo’

To those who caused us great sorrow.
With every thrust, the tyranny was crushed
The Filipino warriors that they tried to hush
Were suddenly fighting in an unexpected gush
Holding their bolo while glaring their tush.
It will always be known in our history
The sword that fought bravely for our liberty
Against the pistol of the Spanish army
May its luster shine forever brightly!
